Generally speaking, a complete set of rice milling plant integrates rice cleaning, dust and stone removal, milling and polishing, grading and sorting, weighing and packaging, etc. There are different models of complete rice milling plant with various kinds of output capacity export to African market, to say daily production as 20-30 ton, 30-40 ton, 40-50 ton, 50-60 ton, 80 ton, 100 ton, 120ton, 150 ton, 200 ton and etc. The installation form of these rice processing line includes flat installation(one layer) and tower installation(multi-layers).
Most of the rice in African market comes from the planting of individual farmers. The variety is complex, the drying conditions are poor when harvest, which brings great difficulties to rice processing. In response to this phenomenon, the design of the paddy cleaning process requires multi-channel cleaning and stone removal, and strengthens winnowing to ensure the quality of the cleaned paddy. It cannot only rely on the color sorter for sorting in the finished product stage. By selecting reasonable cleaning equipment, the particles of different sizes are sorted during the cleaning process, and then separated for shelling and whitening treatment, reducing broken rice and improving the commodity value of finished rice.
In addition, if the brown rice after de-husking is returned to the huller for rolling, it is easy to be broken. It is recommended to add paddy separator between husker and rice polisher, which can separate the hulled brown rice from the un-hulled rice, and send the un-hulled rice back to the husker for de-hulling, meanwhile the hulled brown rice goes into the next step of whitening. Reasonable adjustment on rolling force and linear speed difference, not only reduce broken rice rate, but also reduce power consumption, convenient on operation and management.
The appropriate moisture content for rice processing is 13.5% -15.0%. If the moisture is too low, the broken rice rate during production process will increase. Water atomization can be added at brown rice stage to increase the friction coefficient of brown rice surface, which is conducive to the grinding and polishing of rice bran, reduce the rice milling pressure and lower the broken rice rate during milling, the surface of finished rice will be uniform and glossy.
